Don't move you tach!
Well I decided to put remote start in the car and when putting the dash cluster back in I decided to take off the clear lense due to it having some streaks in it. When I put the cluster in my finger hit the tach pushing it back a little. I didn't think it was a big deal and put it back on 0. After driving it a few times I noticed that it kept resetting itself back before the 0 so I decided to take it to Nissan. They said I bent something inside the cluster and that it couldn't be fixed. They said the only option was to replace the cluster and it would cost around $1000.00! So This is just a FYI.

this goes for all cars, you don't want to mess with the needles on the cluster when the car is off unless you know how to re-set them. you don't need to replace the cluster, just need to re-set the needle. you'd need an OBD tool to pull the RPM's from the ECU and while the car is running push the needle into the right spot. iuno why they think you bent something, but its very easy to knock the calibration off.
