Stillen Lip + color matched handles & trunk

Finally got my lip, handles & chrome piece on trunk painted. Installed them on Friday, Se7enth_Gen came down yesterday & we installed his lip then we shot a few pics.

Door handles and trunk lookin nice man! I like how you each painted your lip different too so people can see the difference between painting that center piece black or not. Great job guys!

I'm loving the stance on the one thats dropped. It gives the car that long look to it.

tight. Do you remove the handles or have them painted on the car?

Looks insane man. I never thought I would be saying this but, the stock 19's dont do justice to that drop and the lip kit. I would get wheels with better offsets, fill everything out. Car looks sick though, Im diggin the color match instead of chrome.

thanks for the comments guys. I took the handles off the car for paint.

sg1214 - tbh I like it with the 19s but I agree a wheel upgrade would set it off. trying to decide which wheels/offset I want to go with. Thinking a 20" with a +40 offset...debating to go staggered or not

I would do 20's 40 offset sounds good. Stagger setup is cool, but in a FWD car I wouldnt do it just because its not right just IMO. You wont have problems with it, but in the end it will be all for looks.

I hate to state the obvious here, but... Aren't almost 99.9% of the things we do to our cars cosmetically (paint, rims, debadge, etc) "just for looks"?!

I just picked up a set of 20"s, staggered, with 40 offset. Hafta see what it looks like all mounted up, and you can see if it'll be something you wanna run man!

I like the 19's car looks really good, but that glass roof on the premium is making me wish I had a premium over my sport

Looks ****ing great. These cars should've came like that from the factory. I think you should paint the lower rear bumper section black.

You are completley rite, but for some reason Im not a fan of the stag setup on fwd cars, even though it still looks amazing. Im not sayin theres anything wrong with it, just not my taste.

thanks again for your comments guys! I'm happy with it now I just have to wait for the shop to clear out to paint the roof, roof wing and chrome window trim black...should be about 2 weeks, but I'll do the prep work so might get it in sooner.

BlackMax11 - removing the handles is VERY easy! Open the door and there is a black plastic plug in the door jams (looks like a button almost) it is at the same height at the handles. Pull that plug and inside is a torque bolt, loosen the bolt and the smaller piece of the handle will come off. The bolt stays in place as it is designed not to come all the way out. Once that small piece is off just slide the larger piece (the piece you actually grab) forward and pull outward slightly. The back ones take about 1 - 2 mins cuz there's no wires. The front handles have a "cap" handle that just snaps on/off. You will leave the actual metal manual key lock on the driver door. Hope that helps but like I said its very easy/straight forward

Nice! How is the paint holding up? What was the prep they did to paint?

How do you remove the trunk chrome piece?

Thanks!

the paint is holding up great. I dont expect any issues as we prepped it properly. first thing I did was wash and scuff the lip with Comet and a grey scoth brite pad (as it says to do in the instructions). then shot a base/primer on it, sanded it down with 800 then paint.

the trunk piece is very easy to remove. all you have to do is remove the carpet cover inside the trunk lid by popping the push plugs then there are a few 10mm bolts...it pops right off

thank you. I appreciate your comments. for the record there is a stone chip on the hood LOL. I'm not on here to be MOTM & I would never nominate myself but if I'm ever nominated & win I would accept the recognition humbly.

Have you decided what your gonna do for rims? Throw some spacers on the stock 19s or go for some 20's with more offset?
