T-Rex Billet Grill

I finally got my custom painted billet grilles, love the new look except the fact i can see the radiator on really sunny days.

Anyone have an idea shy of painting the rad.

Thanks

You think that could potentially void my warranty?

Your dealer would have to prove that the radiator malfunctioned because of the paint in order to void your warranty.

I'm super new so sorry if this is a dumb question: I also want to get a grill and I found a two piece set on amazon but it stated that it didn't come with any mounting pieces. Do I just simply remove the stock grill mounting piece and stick on the after market grill?

Thanks in advance.

You have to be careful with what you order. Some of the sets just zip tie over the existing grill, and some replace the entire assembly.

Did you get the lower one also?
How much did you pay?

It is difficult to see it in the pic you posted.

No worries, nylon wire ties should be your primary means for attachment. Use the thick and beefy ones or just double up on the thinner ones. They should hold up quite well.

Yeah NO way. I do not agree with doing this. These are aluminum heat sinks and should not be coated with anything.
If you look at the tight fin spacing on both cores, any added coatings could impair engine and CVT cooling.

Ahem, pardon the thread res.

I was digging around the forums regarding aluminum performance radiators. I came across this a while back. This could be helpful for those that do want to black out their radiator. Note: Never tried it myself so if anyone has it'd be nice to hear about it.
