Hey heys! So I have been looking to change out my headlights to the "Xenon ones" OEM but they are about $500 each! So, what is a good way to get this look? I have seen some where you have to mount a ballast and all that, is this the ONLY way to achieve this? If so, what do I do? Go with kit already that includes everything or buy seperate? Also for fogs what can I do?

You need ballasts for HIDs. The link I provided includes everything you need and they're the best aftermarket kits out with impeccable customer service.

Lightwerkz is a another company for HID kits with a great customer service. Morimoto H11 kit is what I just installed on my 2012 Max.

7thgens don't already come with HID? I am lost ??

7th gens come with halogens or HIDs depending on the package. easiest way to add HIDs to a non-HID car is get an HID kit and a relay harness to wire it up.

Yea man I just didnt want to go with a KIT, have been trying to find the "Xenon" pair on ebay but man they are expensive! I put some offers out there lets see what happens...........but if that doesnt go what is your suggestion to go with? My wife has a G35 and I love the lights, I want them for MY car!!! lol also another thing, going to buy a 12xpack of interior LED's, is there a big difference in brand or all pretty much the same??

I paid $150 for the Morimoto H11 kit shipped to my door from Lightwerkz.

I just bought a pair of Sylvania ZXE H11's for my fog lights. They're supposed to have a "HID look" even though they're xenon filled. They had them at Autozone for $65.99. I found them on eBay for $39.95 with free shipping. I watched a video on them from a car enthusiasts tv show who said they all would recommend them. I guess I'll find out when I get them in the mail soon.

dabishop25 Apr 3, 2013 02:27 PM

Sylvanias, yea I saw those at Autozone but I didnt want to buy em cuz if its not what I want, I CANT return em, so thinking of just going with an HID fog kit if thats what Im gonna have to do

Why do people try and cheap out on the upgrades on their cars? That is half the price you could have paid for a quality kit? Sylvania bulbs suck by the way.

I think the answer is in your post. ;)

I've had nothing but good luck with Sylvania. They're fog lights. They're not important enough for me to spend $150 for a HID kit. I'd rather spend $40 and them be close enough. Anything is better than the yellow looking stock bulbs.
