Garaging your Max and Repairs

Garaging your Max and Repairs
Hey everyone,
I'm curious as to the relationship between having your Max reside in a garage and the frequency and/or severity of failures the car has (including paint issues).
I'm considering the major/minor threshold to be at $1000 or multiple part failures/issues.
For the sake of clarity, let's rule out obviously unrelated repairs such as a loose/rocking passenger seat.
Thanks!

What's the definition of "garage"? Put under cover at home (night), at work (day), or both?
My 2009 was garaged at home, but not at work where it spent more time. My new office has a parking structure where I leave my 2012 model.
What's the premise? I can image that some may thing a hot car in a smallish home garage does not allow heat to dissipate quickly and affect components, etc, during the summer. But it keeps it nice an toasty in the winter. Conversely, a parking structure offers only protection from sun, not ambient temperature.

My 09 has spent the majority of its life outside in the Atlanta sun, I try my best to wash it and keep it waxed, Im not impressed by the Nissan paint quality but overall I have had no major issues with it outside of some quality flaws and a dead battery.
What should more or less affect the Maxima or any car is how well its built, how its driven, and maintenance goes hand and hand with driving style

Just putting it out there...

I have been retired for almost two decades, so my '09, built in Sept 2008, has spent around 80% of it's life in an insulated garage with the temperature always between 56 degrees and 84 degrees. We could control the temp even more, but do not feel it would be worth the additional electricity involved to maintain a constant temp.
My only repair was the replacement of one of the three internal antennas associated with the Intelligent Key System, which should not be connected to be an inside/outside issue.
