He did his job in a most excellent manner. His job was to cover the beauty of the 8th gen Maxima, and he did it very well. He made it look like a fat Altima.
But the 8th gen Maxima does not look like an Altima, and is not fat. It is a sleek, stylish driving machine. If you wish to see it without the camo, simply look back at the Nissan concept sport sedan. The 2016 Maxima in this photo looks almost exactly like the concept sedan. Simply strip off the camo in your mind, and the striking resemblance is very clear.
It is time to really get excited.

I think you can count on that, 14GmMax. I have been mentally looking through camo on cars for over fifty years, and this is made much easier by the enlarged closeups of various portions of the 8th gen in camo I am seeing on various web sites.
I have already determined the front and sides are almost surely identical to the concept sedan. I do see a few changes on the rear, but in looking at the rear of the concept, it was clear changes would probably be necessary for the production version.
I think you will be very pleased with looks of the 8th gen. At this point, I am satisfied I will love the looks, and have moved on to trying to determine if we will have changes or options in the power train. We will probably have the same as the 7th gen, but with slightly more power. But then Nissan may fool me with something like a 2.5 turbo.

There's another 8th Gen thread going in the 'General' forum. Here's a post from a member who did a nice side-by-side comparison of the concept vs camo'd Maxima:

Looks to be pretty spot on.
