Re-Installation of Stillen front lip
I am in the process of picking my Stillen front lip from the paint shop and im dreading thinking about the process of taking the old 3M tape and putting new on. I wanted to see if anyone has done this process where the lip was installed, taken off for whatever reason and you needed new 3M tape installed.
What was the easiest way to remove the old 3M tape and what process did you follow for adding new tape on?
I know I feel as if I will need a heat gun or a steamer in order to to get the old tape off. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

goo-gone takes care of the residue, if you want to get the actual tape off use one of these - it was designed for the exact purpose.
to re-apply it, clean the mounting surface well of all oils/greases/dirt. i use a paint-prep type spray.

I just had my lip repainted and put back on. We just cut the 3M strips to fit and stuck it on. In some spots there was still the old 3M tape ripped in half. I know it probably wasn't the best idea to leave any old tape on but I'd have to go into the whole horror story of having this guy repaint it to explain. I just wanted my lip out of his hands. My lip fits tight without the tape anyways but with all the tape and 4 screws the lip isn't going anywhere!
