J Tech interior LED's glow
So I bought these off amazon and they work great or so I thought. I put these in my 2014 max and they have a glow after the lights go off. Any reason, is there an issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Here are some pics on and "off". Yes they are blue since the sills are blue and I had them laying around but never used them I thought it would be fun.

Interestingly enough when I turn the interior light switch to off they are all off so not sure why they are drawing power???

LEDs are known to glow from residual current in the lines. If you wait 5 minutes, are they then dark/off?

Let me check

They do go off. Just don't know how long it takes. I sat in car for 5+ minutes with nothing on and they still were glowing...faintly. Just don't want to mess with them if they are going to wear the battery down. Don't know how much they draw like this?

Nothing.
LEDs are usually rated at 1.5-5V. The cars system is 12V-14V. A series of resistors and capacitors are used to protect the LEDs. When power stops, the capacitors discharge and keep the LEDs glowing until there is no more current. |

Thanks. Otherwise go back to the boring yellow halogen bulbs! Appreciate the help. Here's a pic of the new one and the old one.

The power cut outs for the car within 10 minutes or so. My Nissan Frontier does the exact same thing after I replaced it with LEDs. You can add a resistor to it, but I don't see a point, there's no ill effects to the battery or longevity of the LED.

Good to hear. Just weird that in my 2010 with white LEDs it didn't do this... Oh well. Nice to know it won't accidentally drain the battery one day. Appreciate the answers. Love this forum.
