Suspension problem's

I own a 09sv max... I've been noticing a sound when I go over bumps and not even major bumps a"thump thump"sound. So I brought it to the mechanics and they inspected and noticed that my sway bar links are "frozen" and also upon inspection that I also had a torn cv transaxle boot. The mechanics advice was to replace the front struts mounts, and bellows, and sway bar links as well as the rear, also to replace both cv transaxle.. Now can anybody help me with as far as where can I purchase these parts for a reasonable price and also is it necessary to change the hub bearings as well since I'm replacing the cv transaxle? I'm reaching the the 100k mark soon. Please help

Do you want OEM parts or aftermarket parts? If you want OEM then get the parts from somewhere like Rockauto for good prices. Stillen for some of the aftermarket stuff. How much do you have to spend is a factor also. Good luck.

I checked out rockauto and sure enough great prices compared to others! I was able to get everything expect the cv transaxle. I just talked to my mechanic and he said he would do the job for six hundred front struts and rear and the cv transaxle. Do you that is about right or should I go elsewhere? He even said he would include wheel alignment!

Why replace the strut mounts and bellows, but not the strut? The labor is the same.

IMO that's pretty high for fairly simple labor. You'd be surprised how much of it you can do yourself.

I meant to say front struts and bellows, mounts, sway bar links, cv transaxle rear shocks and mounts and rear sway bar links and alignment. And as far as me doing it myself! No way...

So you saying 600 is expensive to do all that?

Just for labor? It's slightly high. But that's just my opinion.

Do you have any advice on where I can get a cv trans axles, and what brand is best? Any sites would help.

www.rockauto.com has quality parts.

I checked them out, and bought all the parts except the cv axles. They only have one side in Stock and not the side I needed. And I searched everywhere else but I'm a little skeptical cause of what I heard about some being bs and not lasting long.
