2010 Maxima SV Transmission Broken

I was driving home this morning and I noticed the engine was hesitating and surging a little bit. I was stopped at a light and when I accelerated, the car barely moved and the tranny made a loud whining sound. I knew right then my tranny was broken. I managed to push my car and luckily somebody helped me to a gas station. I got my car towed to the nearest Nissan dealership and they put it up on the hoist right away and they determined I need a new tranny. They ordered a new tranny for me and it should b here within a few days. My car has about 106,000 KM on it. Good thing for the 10 year warranty on the tranny.

I hope the new tranny will be the updated version from 2012 and up.

2012's and up received a new transmission? Is that why they changed their warranty to the 5 year/60,000 mile warranty?

The 5 year/60,000 mile power train warranty has been in effect since the launch of the 7th gen model.
