Underhood Dress Up Question

Where could I get some colored caps? Since the color of my interior LEDS (gauge face, music screen, dash lights) are orange and white, I was thinking of going with those colors. Anyone recommend some brands? I was thinking of buying some decals as well to show some support to the brand (and a little customization ) so I'd probably grab one of those as well.

Spray paint it. If you find any other colors or finishes it will be a chrome finish.

Melt no, but if the surface is not preped correctly it can flake off.. It wouldn't do any damage to your engine : Disclaimer: - this is your car so use caution with anything dealing with your engine.

This said, obtain new cap as a back up. remove your old cap, degrease it, dry it, rub it down with a dilution of alcohol dry it again and tape off the parts you don't want spray paint on.
you can either use glossy paint or spray a clear over the color you pick.

Spraying clear - If you are going to spray a clear don't allow the color to FULLY dry allow it to dry to tack or "flash off" then start shooting the clear onto the cap. This means the color is sticky a bit and when you spray the clear it gives it something to bond too.

The way to know if it's sticking a bit is from the over spray that cap is sitting on. I.e newspaper, brown paper ect...

I really appreciate the help. Didn't realize we were talking on different threads lol. So, spray paint color first, then clear?
