Question Magnaflow or Y-pipe?

Hello. I just ordered me a Magnaflow 51206 Universal Cat Converter for my '14 Maxima. I didn't really look under the Maxima to see how the cat looks but it looks all weird, I did not know what I was looking at. But in your guys opinions, will the Magnaflow 51206 fit? or should I just return it and get a y pipe? I should be receiving it in the mail In a few days so before I got to a local mechanic and get their opinion, I figure I ask on here first before I make a mistake. Thank you for any replies!

This is the Cat I ordered:

I would send it back. That one cat you can see is unmetered, there are two more on the exhaust manifolds. You need the correct size and length to make it work. Or just get a y pipe. Nitehawk SV has a project Jemini y pipe.

Thanks Bificus99!

To all who want to know, I helped a former member on the FB group with this issue. I actually called Magnaflow and talked to one of their reps for a few mins. Their ypipe for the Maxima was modeled from a stock oem pipe. they did use 409ss which isn't bad, but won't last as long as my 304ss will. plus it's about double the price mine is, I believe it was $574 when I called last month. in no way am I trying to say it's a bad product, just different. the JPP ypipe is 304ss throughout with custom gaskets and exact built to oem specifications. they've already been shipped to me and i'm hoping to have them in house by end of month with sales and shipping to commence the first week of May.

I just clicked on the link you posted above, I see it's just for the cat alone. read the reviews on this product. some said it didn't fit, didn't work, etc. and the material on this one is aluminized steel, meaning probably 201ss which will rust out again in the future. it's totally up to you but i'd say return it also and grab a JPP and be done with the entire thing, you won't have to worry about it falling apart and will enjoy the benefits of increased power and mpg.
