09 Maxima VDC,ABS,TRACTION CONTROL:LIGHTS ON HELP
I Bought my 2009 Nissan Maxima about 9 Months ago and has been running and driving fine but 2 Weeks ago the VDC,ABS And Traction control lights all came on. I don’t know were to begin to find out what’s wrong with it but have anyone had or has similar issues as mine or has any idea what this could mean? |
Two things to do first.
Make sure your brake fluid level is at the full mark. Take the car to Auto Zone to see if there are any stored codes. |
My traction control light was on even though the car was driving fine. I changed the front brake pads and the light went off and hasn’t come back since, so make sure your pads aren’t low and your brake fluid isn’t low either. |
I concur with the above comments about the brake fluid level. My brake and traction control lights came on and my brake fluid was at Min. I added 30 ml of fluid to the reservoir and problem fixed for like $0.30. My pads still had plenty of life.
The brake fluid level will gradually go down over time as pads wear down. I think I changed my rear pads a year later. |
