What's causing my tranny to slam into gear?

How’s it going guys so I have just recently been having this problem with me 09 max the ranny has been slamming into gear I’ve been trying to figure out why is this a common problem and will i destroy the tranny if I continue to drive. First day it happened was Monday the 7th and unfortunately I haven’t been able to drive it since. It slams into drive and reverse. Any information will be a huge help

What is your CVT fluid status? Drain-refill? Codes? CEL?

Along with the questions above how many miles on your car.
This is not a common problem with these CVT's. I have 80K on 09 SV and the shifting is real smooth.

Motor mounts maybe?

You may need to change your CVT fluid. I had a similar issue, but it went away after I did a drain/fill on my 2011 Maxima.
