Rear shock questions. UPDATE
 

Hello,
I have leaking rear struts (and clunking and knocking), 2009 S with 86K miles
Car is bone stock, 18 inch stock wheels, and would like to keep it so.
I'm leaning toward Nissan OEM ones

Questions:
1. Do I need new springs? part no. 550209N10B
2. Do I need new mounts? part no. 55322ZX00A
3. Do I need rubber bushing for the spring 550503Z000 and 550368J010?
4. Any other parts may be needed/recommended once everything is dropped? I hate to reuse a worn part and have to drop everything again later.

Shocks in the rear , Struts only in the front.. You really have no choices.. EIther the stock Sachs shocks, or a Monroe or KYb… I did not like any of those so I went with BC Racing Coilovers...

As long as you don't have like over 150k miles.. You can just reuse the springs.. check the rubber isolators for wear though.

Non sports can use the Monroe OEspectrums. I have them all around and have 60K miles on them, much better than stock. The oems are meh for the money.

I used Monroe in a Maxima 2003 and they sucked so much.
I am thinking now about KYB.

If you are just doing the rear, all you need is a set of shocks. I wouldn't bother with the coils unless you are having an issue. I looked for a while for some nice options, but finally settled on KYB's (349139 was the part number). I wasn't blown away by them but they did improve the ride over the blown shocks I had. I put them on 7/2016 at 108k and I haven't noticed them leaking or having issues. I'm just about to hit 160k. I wish Koni would make some for the 7th gens.

I put monroe's on the back of my 07 a few months before I traded it in. Did the job, but on big bumps they made a loud hiss sound if the wheels traveled up/down faster then a gentle run. I don't know if it was defective or just the way it was with that brand. Based on that experience I'd venture into something else if I was doing it again.

I know what you mean MadMax07SL, my OE shocks hissed, the KYB's don't seem to do that. Not a deal breaker - but interesting.
