Aftermarket stereo upgrade NOTHING COMPATIBLE

I have a 2013 Nissan Maxima sport package with Bose, color screen display, without navigation. I would like to upgrade my stereo but no one can help Crutchfield doesn’t have this exact car package details and when I spoke to a rep personally, they said that they don’t recommend upgrading because it might mess with HVAC controls. Best Buy said they don’t have a stereo that is compatible either. Does anyone know if this is possible at all?

Unfortunately that is the direction manufacturers have taken well over a decade ago with the introduction of "infotainment" systems. It is possible to upgrade your system, but gone are the days of removing the old radio, stuffing a single DIN unit in the dash, running power and ground to an amp and sub in the trunk and off you go.

The question now becomes, what do you want to accomplish? If you want full systems integration, you need a Maestro unit.

If you just want to add amps and speakers, a line converter will suffice:

Amazon Amazon

Beyond that, you're really on your own in terms of how you want to attack your installation. The question literally becomes what you want to achieve, as there now are a ton of ways to accomplish it.

Ideally, I’d like bluetooth with steering wheel control and track info. The Vimeo/Bovee WMA devices don’t work for me, so I got the USA Spec, but my steering wheel controls don’t work, and the track info displays kinda funky. I really wanted an aftermarket HU to flawlessly integrate bluetooth from Spotify while keeping controls without losing sound quality. I can’t get a factory Maxima stereo with nav, because I’ve heard I will need a very expensive harness to install it in my system. Is there anyway I can stick a receiver in my glove box and link the audio to it? I appreciate your help.

I don't have a clue. I don't know your specs. If all you want to do is add Bluetooth to whatever you have, all you need is a free input of any type, then pick up a Bluetooth receiver on Amazon and adapt.
