Wanna significantly increase your Max's HP?

Gotcha to look, didn't I? The answer is (like Jeopardy).....DON'T DO IT. Leave it alone. If part of your engine upgrade plan doesn't include somehow beefing up (where the hell is Gil Younger when you need him?) the remainder of your drivetrain, if such aftermarket support even exists, or otherwise addressing the HP and torque-averse CVT and implementing some hardware swapping, consider yourself warned....otherwise, knock yourself out, but I decided the way to some power increase is to sell my Max. Will be posting a FS ad with some choice parts soon, so not going into that here.

Originally bought it with very low miles, and as a comfy commuter that doesn't get terrible MPGs. A commuter, due to a change in my work location that resulted in a long daily trip to my job to the tune of 600 miles/wk.

I decided I wanted some horsepower, so instead of updating/upgrading the Max, I think this might be my next car.......

That photo is getting a bit "long-in-the-tooth"....

To date, I've never converted a Pontiac to a "corporate" engine, always kept the engine all Pontiac. But the above picture is old, and I'm getting old, and it's SO much cheaper to buy something already done. So that's what I've decided to do. Below is what it looks like today....actually a friend's car and he's getting old too...aren't we all?

Stock-appearing exterior with modern under pinnings. It's essentially "done" with the exception of the reared, which I 'think" might be a 12-bolt and likely a weak link. Engine and trans from an '04 GTO, so an LS-1 with a 4L60-E.
