My Modded 8th Gen

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,

I traded in my Pearl White Premium/Tech 2014 Maxima for a Bordeaux Black SR 2016 Maxima three days ago. I wasted no time and switched over my AG F420 wheels. I had to get my fenders rolled due to rubbing when I hit huge dips even on stock height. Yesterday I had Eibach lowering springs installed. They are exactly the same springs that are used for the 7GM. The process to install for the front is exactly the same however the back is way different and is a PITA. Anyway I got an alignment right away for free because they recommended it since they took out all the rear linkage to install the springs. To there credit they were right and the rear was way off but the front was perfect. Anyway today I go for tint and then it's a waiting game till parts become available to mod it more! Pics to come when its tinted and gets a wash. Enjoy!

Was having issues with rubbing in the back so I went for an alignment and they were able to get -2.6 stock camber with eibach springs on. I think it fixed the problem. The real issue is running 285 tires in the back is too big for this gen maxima. Springs settled more and I really like how low the car sits but not too low.

Car looks great faze. Best of luck with it!

How are you finding it to keep the dark paint color clean? I'm interested in the super black but the maintenance is my only concern. Curious what your experience has been so far.

Looks sick! Which dealer on LI did you go to?

So far it's been good but one thing I can tell you is that you can see every imperfection so you need to stay on top of it. If you want a car that you don't have to constantly take care of it and maintain the paint then black definitely isn't for you. Having said that the effort is definitely worth it though. It looks absolutely gorgeous when clean.

I went to Koepell Nissan in Queens. Hands down best experience I've ever had with a dealership. While other dealerships were haggling me, Koepell Nissan had me out in under an hour which is impressive considering the fact that I had a trade in. They even had a mechanic there on a Sunday to swap wheels for me since I didn't have my stocks. I highly recommend them. Talk to Joe Clem the General Sales Manager. Tell him Jonathan with the gold AG's sent you lol.

Thanks I will def keep them in mind when I'm ready to purchase! They even have an Instagram photo of your ride on their website. Gorgeous car. And you are correct...the dark paint is definitely worth it. Looks stunning when clean.

Im not sure. The hand wash I go to puts it on. It does spray off for the first 10 mins then it dries. I just always carry a microfiber towel and detail spray in my trunk to maintain my wash til the next one.

Man - I was looking at a white platinum but your BB has me second guessing. Does the color really come off as well in person as it does in your pics?

I too have the BB and agree on it's reflective properties. The only thing that fails to hit the mark is the contrast between the body color and the C pillar black stripe. We lose some of the punch.

Are you gonna color match the wheels to the door handles and the chrome?

I've considered it. One of the rear wheel lips got damaged so my stocks wheels are actually on the car now while I decide what color to refinish the wheels. Options are to polish the lips out to match the chrome, change the color of the lips and faces, or fix the one lip and keep the gold lips. Not sure yet. Opinions are appreciated :)

What brand lowering springs are you running if you don't mind me asking?

Eibach springs from the 7th gen maxima. Same exact springs.

I had the wheels refinished. I also had all the chrome deleted with gloss black vinyl wrap but have not had a chance to get pics of it. Here are the wheels re-done for now. They are gloss black lips and inner barrels with dark purple metallic centercaps and bolts. It's hard to see and fully appreciate them in these pictures. I will try to get better pics.
