Just looking to see if anyone has removed the chrome trunk trim piece above the lic plate. I have removed the badges and would like to paint that piece black to match the other gloss black trim pieces.
It would be much easier to paint if its not on the car.
Any suggestions?

I used plastic dip (4 coats) and a glossifier (3 coats). You can also wrap it although that option is more expensive

Is it glued on or held with screws or bolts?

When you take the trunk liner off to do the lic lights you can see there is a couple of pop pins and then 2 bolts on the outside part. I am going to be pulling mine in the near future to wrap it myself in Gun Metallic vinyl to match my car. I will make sure to post pics once I do mine prob next weekend. Do the same.
