Lowering Springs
 

If I'm not mistaken, most of you guys are using 7th gen max springs correct? When I go to Eibach.com, they state that the part # for the 2016 Max is 63115.140, which I cross-referenced as the same part # for the 2013-2016 Altima. Stillen's website states that to use the 09-14 Maxima springs.

Has anyone used Eibach's recommendations and used the Altima's springs? Part # 63115.140? And pictures of the drop if you have it please?

Also checked the struts and springs part # from Nissan, and each has different part #s. Doesn't show the 8th gens having same exact part # from the 7th gens and the altimas

I used the 63115.140's from Stillen.

The drop looks really nice. How much room do you have in the rear? Also, do you think getting wheels that would stick more flush with the fender by 1/2 an inch would rub?

Eibach states the kit is supposed to drop the car 1.5 all the way around, however, my front is 1.75 and rear is 1.5. I am looking at wider rims/tires for the rear, 1/2 inch would work.

Do your tires tuck under with 3 adults in the back of the vehicle?

I am about to order one from Stillen. Do I need an alignment kit.

Stillens website tells you to use the 09-14 maxima eibach springs, but eibach is saying to use 13-15 Altima springs. So torn but frasierarts drop looks like what I'm looking for. So I think I'm going to go with eibach a recommendation. Found the kit for $212 shipped.

I also wanted to know if the wheel tuck in when passengers are in the car.

I ordered mine last on EBAY. A guy had bought them for his Altima and never used them and decided to go with Coilovers. I got them for $180 shipped. Now just need to find time to install them. I don't think you will need a Camber kit. Its not that aggressive of a drop and they should be able to get you pretty close at the alignment shop

Yea you definitely don't need a camber kit. I went to Firestone when they had the special and got lifetime alignments for $169, normally 2 n change.

Stillens 16 maxima eibach claims 1-2 inch drop. Anyone got these know the height it lowered their max by? Thx

eibach spring kit - Manufacturer Part #: 63115.140 - (Note: Avg. low 1.4"F and 1.0"R.) - i got approximately 1.5 in the front and 1.0 in the rear. with adult passengers the rear does not tuck.

Nice, your car is SR version? I believe those models are lower than rest stock.

Yes, it's an SR. SR has different suspension components but i don't find any facts related to it being lower than any other model. Also, tire/wheels P245/40R19 and P245/45R18 are both the same height at 26.7".

If anyone else can chime in to the SR being lower stock that other models, please do.

Pro kit on my 16 Max

I know this is an old thread but wanted to ask you bout the drop in the rear on the pro kit not being the same as the front. I just installed mine last weekend, got my alignment yesterday & similar issue. Front dropped 1.5" but rear only .5-.6". Did yours ever settle? I'm waiting to hear back from Eibach tech on this but wanted to get feedback from other members.

I like the look a lot man! how different was the ride? (comfort wise)... looking to choose between these or coil overs.

IMHO, it is more sensitive to bumps but handling is tighter. I don't feel there was much loss in comfort. I just wish I didn't have to cut a bit off my rear springs to get the back even w/ the front but it was worth it, looks great now.

I just installed the Eibach pro kit lowering springs and regretting it already. Purchased them through stillen, the Altima/maxima versions. When at speed wheels sound as though they’ll come through the hood upon hitting the slightest bump in the road. I’m on stock 18 wheels stock shocks stock tires. Any advice?

Remove drop springs , install stock springs.. Fixed!

I'd say before you swap back to stock, you should take it for an alignment & make sure the springs are set & pre-loaded correctly. That doesn't sound right w/ 18' wheels, it shouldn't be bottoming out like you are describing. You buy the 63115.002 springs?
