You have to drop the inside trim and headliner, i had my roof paint it gloss black and the shop need to remove it and they charge me $ 100 more for removing it.

Just finished having my roof wrapped gloss black... The guy ended up just wrapping the antenna on the car without doing all the removing anything inside.

So upon further investigation by my roof wrapper the antenna is a cap that can be popped off! Again I say the antenna is a cap that can be popped off, it is held by pressure clips! No need to drop the roof liner...

Thank you RVA Graphics & Wraps of Richmond, VA!!!

I was able to pop off the plastic cap but the entire antenna assembly cannot be removed. There are two layers of screws that can be removed but the metal bracket is probably held by screws from the interior of the vehicle. Basically, no way to remove the entire antenna without dropping the headliner. Nissan Maxima 8th gen Roof Antenna

They dropped half the roof liner to pop off my antenna during the wrap job. I watched the guy do it, didn’t look too hard.

How long did it take to drop half of the head liner?

Removed roof antenna

Finally managed to remove the roof antenna. Pulled down on the headliner. With some pressure the invisible clips will release. This allows access to the antenna bolt. Used a 22mm (7/8") socket and ratchet to remove the antenna bolt. There is a plastic clip on the antenna which needs to be released. Tried for a long time but was unable to release the clips because of very limited access to antenna assembly from the headliner. Pulled on the antenna and unfortunately the clips broke. I believe this does not affect functionality because the antenna will still be tightened to the roof by the bolt removed earlier. Then disconnected the cable and voila the entire antenna assembly can be pulled out. No need to pop off the cap or unscrew anything else. Got the idea from this video on youtube, the only one i could find specific to the 8th gen. Go to 18:53 in the video-

Last I checked, there was no guide. I tried to describe the process in my previous post. Its straight forward mostly. Start by pulling on the liner at the back end. And watch the video at around 18:53.

Roof Inspection Miami ten-point inspection process can identify and correct potential miami roofing problems before they grow into more extensive – and expensive – headaches.
