Aftermarket height-adjustable passenger seat?
Is there an aftermarket height-adjustable passenger seat available that doesn't interfere with the safety and convenience features of the car? (Our low-tech solution has been a cushion.)

Passenger seat adjustment kit
I had a 2015 Kia Optima Hybrid. Same problem with passenger seat...Too low, bought the aftermarket kit, installed in about 10 minutes and problem was fixed.

you can find an aftermarket kit for $45 to solve this issue;
at srautoshop.com |
Does it reduce the structural integrity of the seat and reduce safety?

Let's put it this way, if your passenger dies in a collision, and you have after market parts that altered the way the car absorbs impact, or protects occupants, its on you. No one here can tell you that it is 100% safety tested with crash data to prove it, not even the manufacture of the after market part. That said, it will likely not be an issue in most circumstances. However new height and where the airbag deploy should be a concern... |
From looking at the website, it appears that it raises the seat but doesn't make it height-adjustable. Still, it may be just what I need.

if i am getting those brackets, swapping the bolts with grade 8's, if they are not, will give higher shear strength. good luck, and stay safe.

I installed the lift kit in my '17 Platinum and it made my 5'3" wife happy. Easy install, it just lifts the rear of the seat about 1 1/2 inches but that little bit makes a big difference.

Done
I installed the kit yesterday. Bolts were to specs. My wife lives it. Worth the 50 bucks. About a 5 minute project

I got the kit an Saturday and installed it. Very easy, except that I don't have a Torx 50 socket (to remove the original bolts at the rear of the seat) and had to borrow one from my neighbor. I took my wife for a ride on Sunday and she's happy.
