Tail light cover replacement.

Good day everyone

I was involved in a minor accident and the glass/plastic covering my tail light was shattered, everything else is fine. is there any website you guys know of that sells such parts?

Likely going to need the whole housing...Can't just buy the cover for it. I don't have the site, but online you should be able to do better then the dealership. My guess is about $350 for the housing...but that's just a guess.

Might be cheaper to look at aftermarket or buy used on eBay.

Your best bet as far as not spending a lot of money would be eBay for sure. I just checked it out and they have tons of pre owned oem tail lights starting at $100.

thanks for the fast reply. I understand that it's just all the internal parts are perfect so I just wanted to know if there is a way to get an advantage of this. again, thanks!

The units are sealed to be waterttight. Therefore the entire taillight needs to be replaced. Be sure to read reviews for some of the aftermarket “OEM” units if you use CarId or similar. Apparently they are not all equal in terms of quality. Best bet in my opinion is a salvage yard. The “finish” is likely a better match too.

Sage advice you should take. Plenty of tail light assemblies out there. Just make sure the mounting tabs/bolts are all there and that there are no cracks. Let us know what you get.
