recirculation / fresh air mode - always stuck on recirc
 

Hello all,

I have had the max for 7 months, and I cannot think of one time that the mode of the recirculation / freshair was ever anything other than recirculation. It will change if I select fresh air manually. I live in Texas where it is warm, but no other car I have had would have held the recirculation this often.

Does anyone have similar experiance or know at what external temp it WOULD open the fresh air?

Funny. I was just monitoring my system yesterday because I thought I detected an amber flash on the right side of the HVAC control. Sure enough, it started cooling the car down in Outside mode. Then a few minutes later it switched to Inside mode. Several minutes later as I was getting uncomfortably cool I saw it switch to Outside mode and it remained there for the rest of my drive home. At the time the outside temp was about 82 deg F and I had inside temp set to about 72 deg F.
