Text messaging with iphone and verizon
I apologize if this topic has been discussed already. I searched the forums but couldn’t find anything.

Does anyone know if this is a Verizon blockade or an Apple blockade or Nissan?

I cannot use the integrated Nissan Phone screen to send or receive texts with the iPhone.

Any input out would be much appreciated.

Hmmm you should be able to receive but not send. Unless you use Siri with carplay. Then you can send/receive.

cannot send, correct, not through the factory system, car play only here too.

Yep, something to do with Apple texts going through icloud or something like that. Not just a Nissan thing.

Any answer to this? I used to be able to receive text messages, but now I cannot receive them.

make sure under bluetooth -> my maxima -> i -> show notifications is on. Mine got reset when I updated the OS. Using an iphone x, still can receive.
