Best 2019 feature #2

So somewhere in the new feature list is "rear emergency braking".
I just tested this today.
We have a small/dopey basketball hoop in our driveway, and apparently I came too close.
The car stopped - no warning or notification - and felt like I hit an immovable iron wall. Like "something hit me in the gut".
Emergency braking.
I guess this would come in handy if someone walks in back of your car in a parking lot. Or a kid rides a bike behind you.

Like you drive over someone all the time. I guess those features are for younger or older drivers.

I drove a rental Rogue two weeks ago. While backing into a spot the back-up sensors were beeping, and I wanted to see how close I could get to the bush behind me before it started a solid tone. As I got super close the brake pedal pulsed (felt like anti lock) and the car stopped. No closer for me!

it’s an insurance play, I think.

I really wasnt that close. The pedestal juts out.

This is a huge feature in my eyes! and one of the reasons I traded for a 2019! This could pay off in any grocery store parking lot.
