Two ecu's?

Is it posible to run two ecu's in one car? One to control all of the sensors, cluster, and accessories of the car and a second aftermarket ecu to run only the engine with a manual trans??

Sure is possible. If you have a 10mm, a 12mm, and a 15mm wrench and a phillips screwdriver, it is really easy to do.

Shouldn't take you more than 18-20 minutes.

Doesn't everybody run at least 2 ECU's?

Yes. This is quite possible with enough $$. How much do you have to spend on this project? Also, how much time are you willing to wait to get this accomplished?

What are u trying to accomplish? Engine swap?

I could be wrong, but I believe most of today's modern car transmissions have their own ECU, separate from the engine.

Im doing a 6 speed swap on an 8th gen maxima but would also like to keep the accessories and some of the nice features and if i go with a standalone ecu and have a complete custom map made for it to run the car im not sure if it would keep those features
