Replacement key fob in Canada, but don't buy from dealer?

I'm having trouble with both keyfobs; one doesn't work at all and the other is very intermittent. I've tried replacement batteries but they didn't help. It would cost me C$370 for a new keyfob so maybe I'll buy some more batteries first. Otherwise is it possible to buy a replacement keyfob in Canada from someone other than the dealer? Thanks

Will one from the USA work?

I really have no idea. I assume it should?

On my 7th gen I got some fobs off ebay and had a locksmith program them, It took 4 batteries before we fond one that worked! 8th gen devices are more complicated but still I would try a few battery swaps before buying a new fob.

I would suggest buying a new fob instead of replacing the batteries, any locksmith near you can make you a new key fob.

I will keep in mind the things shared above and hire the best locksmith around me for key replacement,
