Fronts - Not a 'plug n play' option...also remember the rotors are monstrous and won't fit stock rims

Backs - No way...5th gens use a rear caliper that doubles as a parking brake

wheel/caliper clearance not a problem with my HRE's or oz racings ...what mods needs to be done beside custom brake lines or adapters to fit the front. right now im running 6gen bbk...also I seen them bolt to 7gen with ease

Well, in theory, the Akebonos are a direct bolt on to the 7th Gens, so if your 6th gen brakes on your 5th gen bolt up to the 7th gens then the Akebonos in theory should be a direct bolt on? Correct? Or too much math . Rears forget about it, if you want something nice, you need the wilwoods with the built in parking brake, unless your AT and don't use it.

If you have Akebonos lying around then try it...they were too expensive for me to 'try'. At the most a bracket would be needed to relocate if they don't directly bolt on.

I'm not sure on the fitment of 7th gen brakes on a 5th gen, has anyone done it?

The price that people were wanting for an Akebono setup is more than the 13" aftermarket setup I have. (calipers + rotors + pads)

Thanks a lot fellas for the input. I have 03 TE 6pd my stock bbk came off a 04 maxima that im running now on the car. The complete kit new for the akebonos bbk are $1500 that's everything all the hardware included front and back. so now its just a matter of getting just the front if the back wont work.

1500 is very pricey,if u have it then go for it,also for that price wat kind of calipers 4 or 6 piston and thermlock or stainless pistons and wat size rotor.
i got me some wilwood 6 piston caliper with thermlock pistons for under 500 on ebay and also brought the rears for less and called fastbrakes for the rest.
difference between thermlock is more of a track piston asborbs more heat stainless more for street, drag piston.

THIS THREAD may help...says Akebono needs a bracket to fit the 6th gen, so you'll need a bracket to fit the 5th. (the hole spacing is about an inch wider than our mounting point)
...and YOU'RE WELCOME IN ADVANCE for this site --> http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...2158.57.150.68

Just fyi the 7th gen Maxima calipers have the same caliper bracket mounting hole spacing as the 4th gen Altima, which is different than the 6th gen Maxima and the 3rd gen Altima. The Akebono calipers from the G37/370Z are however a direct fit/bolt on for the 4th gen Altima and the 7th gen Maxima.....assuming your wheels are large enough to clear them. Brembo calipers from the G35/350Z fit the front of the 6th gen Max and the 3rd gen Altima with a little shaving of either the inner part of the caliper OR machining down the side of the rotor on the same face of the rotor hat iirc. I believe you have to use the same Brembo front rotor from the G35/350Z.
