Congrats on the swap and getting it to work with the 95 ECU. Are you gonna send it to JWT or tune it with something else? What plans are in store for this car? NA build or FI?

I don't understand why some people have such bad traction issues. Granted, right now my car is pretty close to stock (no nitrous yet), but I've driven a SC'ed 96 5 speed that traps as like 111 mph, and I didn't really have any tractions issues, even in first gear. All my traction issues went away with the PR motor mounts. Might want to look into fabbing up some poly mounts for your cars. They made a huge difference in my boring car.

And BTW, why dyno? It will just look like a normal 2k2 dyno (aside from differences from the ECU/furl rail etc).

I have a 95 GLE 5spd, 180k miles, I/Y/E/P, and even with heavy 18's I can't seem to get traction in 1st either. I can't imagine a 3.5 liter. Maybe its time for an LSD.

OT: I just noticed that my sig pic goes well with my status under my username. Pretty wierd!!!

I have some questions:
Why did you use 95 ECU? Would it work with 97 or 2002 ECU?
Did you have to splice harness?

I would say either way is good but full 3.5 is the way to go but you need to do twice as much to make it happen.

Tilley, do you think the difference is pretty steady along the powerband or is more low end than top or vise versa?

As for traction, would you consider PR motor mounts? I'm thinking about ordering 'em.

no ****. i understood that already. but there is the engine harness which is for the engine. the engine harness directly plugs into the ecu which in his case is the 4th gen. but there is another harness for the gauge cluster and the e-gas pedal and the speed sensor which runs off the abs unit/abs sensors. what did you do about those? everything else work in the car? you still using the bcm?

Everything works great i had to swap some stuff around and use a 4th gen wiring harness. If you read around the all motor forum its all explained in there.

Do you have a cell? is the VI working? How did you get around all the accessories that the 2k2 has compared to the 97?
