SR20DEN already went a 13.19 and that was a 3.5 in a 5th gen. I expect tilley could possibly get it to go a little faster than that.

Well #s are in didnt gain much peak power but did gain alot of mid range (20whp/26tq between 4.2 and 5.2k). 232.79whp 230.09tq. 2k2 manifold has poor flow compared to the 00VI both HP/Tq dropped after 5.5k so there is more power to gain especially on top end.

Will you be switching back to the 00VI set up? Also, what is the difference between the JWT 3.0 and 3.5 cams? would it help to go 3.5 cams?

With slicks, I mean. 13.19 for SR was on slicks, otherwise I think it was 13.6.

that's a nice increase right where I drive the most (midrange). Could that drop in power on the top end be a combination of the VI and the 3.0 cams? What have you set the VI to open at?

What did your AFR look like?

2K2 injectors/rail, but return style fuel lines?

Is this 238.5whp dyno the same as the one who said it was showing 10whp less than it should? Also how was the torque?

3K to do this? Its worth driving out there from california! How many days would it be out of operation, about? This beats super/turbo charging in my book.

PS yes, Im reviving the thread... I'd be down to get this done professionally

Just put a little away at a time. That's what I'm doing. Most of my funds takes care of the family so I really don't have the cash unless I don't pay my mortgage for a couple of months.

ONce I get my finances caught up with the IRS, thats the plan I have in mind. The body of my 95 is in really good shape still, just need a bit of front end work with bushings and what not and a new steering rack. Get my motor swapped out and rack at the same time, but it'll be a year or so before I can really start thinking about it.....

Man those dyno numbers are making me all excited. Did you ever figure out anything on the fuel pressure return vs. returnless?

Just use the 1995 Fuel Pressure Regulator at the end of the 3.5 fuel rail. Some grinding at both ends. It's a 5 minute deal.

A couple question about this:

If I did this:

I would be ok keeping the JWT ECU (cali spec, 5-spd still, obviously)??

I would get the 00vi intake as well?

If the answer to both would be yes, that would put me in the very strange position of being OK with my engine blowing up. Straight neener-neener twilight zone mode....

Does anyone use a stand alone to resolve the ECUs problems ???

With a standalone controlling the spark/timing and fuel system, this can be the ultimate answer.
Some brand offers programmable outputs to controls things like, variable intake manifold, H2o injection or even nitrous.
With a standalone, the VQ35 N/A can be run to his best potentiel .!!!

Or, just connect a fuel pressure regulator in parallel with the fuel rail and keep the returnless setup. That's even easier.
