So would you need that for a 00vi swap. Im getting my tax returns soon, I just want to by the upper and drill the lower 4thgen im so it will fit. I dont want to get the fuel rails and injectors. I would also need a rpm switch. and what else? the egr extender pipe?

To make the adapter plates:
1) buy some aluminum and start machining
or
2) buy an adapter plate from someone who makes them. There are a few people on the org who do that.
You could use the 4th gen TB or the Pathfinder TB, in which case you would have to make an adapter plate. You could use a 5th gen TB, which would bolt right up to the IM, but I believe you will have to remove the IACV from the bottom of the TB because of interference with the egr. I'm not exactly sure about that, though.

Ok, i get it now.
How bout I connect the EGR hose to the Intake, custom dremel a hole?!?
I need a Adpater plate for the 4th gen tb, if I do Ill just drill out the holes for it in the plastic IM and make it fit like that
thnx Stephen Max for the help

do you get the best performance by using the 5th gen lower im and fuel rail and injectors? or do you still get the same by just drilling the 4th gen lower im? I'm VERY interested in doing this. What all would i need to get? I found an upper IM at a junkyard, besides the adapter plate(s), what else is necessary?

Same performance either way, I would assume. DEK injectors are larger so if you need more fuel delivery due to other mods, this would be the way to go. Any way you go, you will need an RPM switch.

ivac takes air from that black resonator box, then it goes in through this elbow on the top of manifold http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...777_7_full.jpg

so for the install of the VI, what else is needed? I found a VI for 125 at a junkyard, and want to know what else i'd need to take with me besides the VI. I know ill need an rpm switch, but where would these adapter plates come from? I would hate to not everything needed for when i go to pick up the VI

You make the plates or buy them from people can make them like Stephan Max or MaxS
How are you going to do the swap? Just the upper IM? If you plan to use the lower IM from the DEK, make sure you get the fuel rail and injectors as well.
