My new all motor vehicle

1993 Nissan altima currently 2.4 auto (paid $125 for it with blown motor), soon too be a 04 VQ35de with 5spd VLSD trans, headers, and all the other lil goodies. I think i can make this car have 220-230 whp and weigh in at around 2300lbs which means mid 12s should be attainable.

Damn Tilley, you cant even finish one project before you start a new one. What ever happened to the 3.5 Pathy idea with the 350Z 6 speed? Or getting your turbo and 3.5 cars running perfectly?
Either way, I smell another fast car resulting from this....too bad it will be ugly as all hell.....

Wow....good luck, i'm sure you can do wonders. As far as I know, right now the fastest all motor 1st gen Altima ran 13.8 or so with a built KA and 5sp tranny. This should be interesting......

yep, that built KA has like 12.5:1 CR iirc. would love to have a 1st gen altima though.

You are one sick man Tilley ... NOS??? Jeeze if it is a project car then you don't have to worry about anything. I am jealous ... you don't have to worry about all your components working together so you get 3.5 ECU ( VTC ). Was the Altima back in the day OBDI? In that case you could always get the 300ZX-VTC ECU.

Tilley, IIRC the rear end of a bluebird will fit in.

Thats if you want to make it AWD.

why don't you drop in a VQ35.. but if that's too much money.. why not a vq30dek?

but 92's are kinda heavy..

Hello. I am from Altimas.net. This project looks interesting. To this day, there's no vq powered altima (gen1/2)as far as I know. If I'm wrong, I'd gladly take a look. There was one guy on our forum, who had some pics of vq30 engine inside, I think he was saying that it ran, but could not actually provide proof. So don't be surprised if you go there and local gurus there say you are on crack, etc... Many people say it's too much work and money vs decent output. Wonder how much it will cost you and how fast it will go. If you actually finish the swap and it will be reasonable $, then this might be a new opportunity for Altima crowd. I will be paying close attention to this. I wish you luck!

Why? it'll fall apart after he starts it up.

Lets just get down to it with a 12:1 cr and 8K redline VQ35 in a gokart. Theres some hp/weight for you!

Reread the post, VQ35 it is.

You're thinking of the Altima SE-R, factory 260bhp VQ35.

And tilley...

Right, now that we got that out of the way, you gonna consider the bluebird AWD idea?
