Not the same engine

300zx: rear wheel drive

different engine = different block = different tranny bolt pattern = no go

You have no clue you're talking about.

The engine wont mate up to the tranny since the configuraion for the engine is RWD and your tranny is FWD.

ZX ENGINE WONT FIT!

Turbo'ing your current engine will cost way less than trying to get the VG to work in your car.

putting a turbo on you vq will show better gains with the same amount of boost anyway. the only problem is that you have high compression while the vg30deTT was built with lower compression in order to handle the boost better.

lol@dealer knowing more than maxima.org community - why not trade your maxima in for a maxima gtr. ask your dealer for more info on date of release.

I heard many things are possible... but not many things are feasible.

The last place on earth I'd trust with advice like this is a dealership, but go for it since you seem to know better than anyone else here in the advanced performance forum. Remember who posted the thread asking the question to begin with.

Why wouldn't this thread still be open? I hear it's a true bolt on, which then of course earns you the title "Maxima King".

Its open because the mods are currently looking for threads to create a sticky in the General Discussion Forum titled "Quick examples to what will get j00 banned"

For example this thread,

mistake #1- Why are you asking a redundant question that's been asked repeatedly in the past with the same response? that it cannot be done. Did somebody not attempt do do his homework? VG=VQ?

mistake #2- Why are you asking about a VG30DETT swap on the ALL MOTOR forum??

Please prove us wrong Lord Maxima King !!!! Long live teh n00b, I mean the King!

ok Im done flaming
