Are '97 3.0 ignition coils the same as those from an '02 3.5 Max/Alt/etc.

But using the 3.5 coils (in a 3.5 engine, of course) with the '97 harness/connectors is perfectly fine, right?

To my knowledge you don't even need cut to solder. The 3.0 coil plugs snap right on.

Whaddya' mean..."plug and solder and play"? Why can't you just plug them in w/o any need for soldering?

sorry. . . was thinking of my spare DE coil pack plugs that are cut off and would need soldering back on.
