What's the torque spec for '97 flywheel?

Thx for the help.

I had the car up the rack and a good set of air tools handy at the shop. All I did was air-gun that sunabich till it can't torque in anymore. If you try hand tools, you'd have to make sure you stationed the crank pulley to zero movements.

My point is...Anything that would tend to turn while I"d torque it down, I would definitely use heavy duty air tools. They do miracles and save time.

But, contrary to answering your question...I don't have an answer. My air gun torqued flywheel never gave me a problem.

Why would I have to keep the crank pulley still if the timing gear is all on and the case is sealed?

61-69 ft lbs. Please make sure you do them in sequence.

Lock tite...yes...as for sequence, just tighten bolts on sides opposite each other as you go around (kind of like a star pattern with many points).

I wasn't aware what torque setting it was on. That's why I said I didn't have an answer for him. But I believe they've been using the same torque specs for that air gun forever. I've never seen it flipped higher or lower. It's always at the knob spot.

This is dangerous. It's a good way to strip your crank bolts...

That's what I was thinkin'...I'm far too anal not to use a torque wrench for nearly everything (but then you know that, don't you GoalieKeg).
