Think my 3.5 swap's running rich (symptoms within)...SAFC or E-Manage Ultimate?

Sputters and stutters a bit at various points throughout the rev range (whether given light or heavy throttle/whether accelerating or decelerating). I've fooled with the Aeromotive FPR (from 35 to 55 psi...little-to-no difference), the IACV (gets worse, from where it is now, if anything) and what vacuum line routing I have (doesn't seem like a vacuum issue anyway). The engine idles great, sounds great...just a lil' rich (even smells rich). I've heard this is quite common after a 3.5 swap...true? If so, then which management device should I purchase and why? I plan on a dyno tune after install. Oh, and yes, I have read the sticky. I'm looking more for personal experience(s) than specs. Thanks for the help.

I don't think your issue has anything to do with running rich. The a/f mixture will be rich at 40% throttle and up. Anything less than that, and the ECU will slowly but surely adjust the injector pulse width to get it back to stoich. If the sputtering is happening even at light throttle, something else is to blame. I want to say ignition coils are causing a slight miss but i don't think they'd be bad so soon...:hmmph:

Well that's just great. I've absolutely no idea what's causing it then :faint: . Initially (a day or two after the swap was completed), my rear O2 sensor code showed up...it has since disappeared. I don't know if it showed because of miscellaneous crap burning off of the engine and out of the exhaust or what. My remaining codes are: 0305 (EGR temp sensor), 0807 (EVAP Canister purge control valve/solenoid valve circuit), 0905 (crank position sensor-POS, which is very odd considering it's new from Nissan!!!), 1005 (EGRC Solenoid Valve), 1008 (EVAP canister purge volume control valve), 1302 (MAP/BARO SW Solenoid/Valve!). Is the MAP also known as the Boost Sensor and does it need its own vacuum source? I had 0707 and 0802 (crank position sensor...installed new one of these as well) at first, but not currently. The EGR or EVAP equipment is currently not hooked up. The car seemed to run just fine for the first day or two...I can't remember noticing any of this behavior at that point. I'm reluctant to believe that one (or any) of the coils are bad, as the motor had only 600 miles on it when installed (now 800). Thx.
