VAFC II and DEK engagement

VAFC II and DEK engagement
ok for my dek swap i'm running a nx 18959 rpm window switch to control the opening of my OOVI. My question is on the vafc there are the pink and purple wires for vtec solenoid on hondas. Which wire(s) do i hook up where so i can set the rpm in the vafc instead of having a 5000rpm pill in the window switch. I want to put it on the dyno later today and find out what is the best. On the connector coming out of the OOVI solenoid i believe there is a yellow/green stipe wire and a yellow w/ red stripe. Which vafc wire goes where? thanks

well it shouldnt' be hard. there are only two wires running off the solenoid but i don't want to extend the wires off the vafc instead i spliced into the wires that run from the bay to the center console area.

ok basically i tapped into the two existing wires for the window switch and still have no luck w/ setting the vtc in the afc which i assume is the "vtec" nissans VI. Now with the pink and purple vafc wires spliced in, the vi doesn't open at all......

well i don't know about the vafc wiring but for the rpm switch, you would connect the normally open wire to the Y/G wire (wire that connects to the VIAS control solenoid valve) on the VIAS solenoid. so wouldn't that be similar to the vafc?

so ur saying i should cut the normally open wire and interface it into the vafc vs. just splice in?

plus, i thought the vafc already has an integrated rpm switch

Well to actually answer your question, based on info from a 2000 fsm, the red w/yellow stripe gets the 12v (which in your case, based on the above link from i1k) is from the purple vafc wire. And the yellow w/green stripe goes to ground. This is somewhat irrelevant though, since it work either way, but would be preferable to do it up correct.
However, as for pink or purple, I'm pretty sure you can't use both and have that be the circuit, because one works opposite the other, normally open vs normally closed, but I don't have a vafc manual handy, and don't fel like searching for it, but there is a good chance I'm just dead wrong in regards to pink vs purple.
