If you're going to be running the Utec, why would you waste your money on the Technosquare reflash? The Utec is capable of doing what you need and more.

I'm also a little skeptical about 300whp without rods, pistons, and headwork to increase your compression to hit your mark. There's only a handful that has hit it N/A on my350z, and they had upgraded rods, pistons, and headwork.

I have similar goals in mind, but my component list is a little longer. Good luck!

There's a maxima guy that posted 275whp with less mods than me and no cams with the UTEC and TS flash. I'm adding the UR underdrive pulley, NWP spacers, removed the VIAS, will most likely get the SSIM since I'll be revving higher and am adding a pretty aggressive cam. Anyways I'll post the results when I'm done I don't know if I'd hit 300whp exactly but it's worth taking a shot at without diving into my pocket to get pistons rods etc. So we shall see

My current mods are the JWT clutch, Custom Headers, Custom Y-Pipe, 2.5 catless exhaust system, CAI, Spec V gears, Ported IM. With those mods I put down 250whp/268 tq. No tuning or anything done yet so I'll see if I can push it over 300! Woot. I'll definitely be close if I don't

I'm also going to be advancing the timing to 17* as well.

Umm which guy was that ? I dyno close to there but without the TS , just the UTEC itself.

Which Chris are you talking about ? Crispeed the tuner or another maxima owner ?

Looking forward to see the finshed product.

Understood. Would definitely like to see the outcome of this. What is your expected time frame of completion?

Very nice.

Also, I'm in Palm Beach County a lot with my Maxima. I'd definitely like to check out your project when I'm in town. I won't be able to make it down there until after MAXUS 09 though.

Hello
Rooting for you
And following right behind

I think you will love the feel of those cams
and raised redline
for us it saves a shift to 5th in the ¼

I see you’re due to finish mid July
I might have my alternator in by then [no I’m not laughing]
I need to come visit

Three vq35de sentra's
Oh my

And all above 250hp
Hmmm!

Mine does have the lower end and mild head work done
and Chris's car runs within 2mph [I think] of my 108mph

one more thing
what part number t-stat are you using?

Very nice build, some feedback from my experience. I wouldn't spend the money on getting the UDP. It hasnt proven to be much of a gain to be honest. All it does is dim your lights/weaken your a/c (if you have one) at idle. as far as power, nothing.

Also, a cutout (3" opening) right before your catback will add a few hp's. this is based on 95blkmax's dyno's, I believe he gained about 10hp from opening the cutout alone, or more i think.

Also, another interesting thing you can do that may(should) yield a little power as well, is the "volt boosta" (what we call it lol), basically increase the voltage to the coils to about 16v, and increase the gap of your plugs, giving you a stronger, bigger, spark, better more efficient combustion.

I have the UR underdrive pulley put on already actually, my feedback is that it feels as though it revs up faster. My lights don't dim and my audio system is still beast. I'm running about 700watts RMS through 2 amps 4 way channel speakers and 1 12in sub. So I haven't had any bad results with it. I like it. The weight difference between the stock crank and the UR one is pretty substantial. Could be I notice the difference more cause my vehicles a lot lighter?
As for the cats, yea eddy (95blkmax) didnt have any cats either, however he still got a good amount of power from opening the cutout, Perhaps a 2.5" catback dosent flow enough, but proven fact, open cutout WILL make you more power.

Thats good that the pulley didnt affect your car as much, yea it does rev quicker, but while driving, none of us (3 or 4 of us that did it locally) noticed a difference. U already have it so thats good.

Talk to Grey99 about the volt boost thing, he'll link you to the place that sells the device, or you can look for his thread on it.

Hi Streetz - the link would be:

http://www.powerstream.com/dcdc.htm

and the part I used for ignition boost was: PST-P90W in this section:

http://www.powerstream.com/ADC-p006.htm

Got my fingers crossed for your new engine build...

Not bad. Have you considered a 96mm bore? Won't cost much more to get pistons that size and a little extra displacement never hurt anything!
