VQ Injector Comparison
I was reading one of Nissan's technical documents on the HR engine and its improvements HERE when I came across this:
Which then had me wondering if these improved injectors flowed less fuel in FWD applications compared to RWD applications as they did with the First generation VQ35DE. In addition to the flow rate, I was also interested in seeing how the injector spray patterns compared with the different hole configurations.
I had an ASNU Classic Injector Flow Bench at my disposal at school, so I finally took advantage of it, and cleaned & flow tested a handful of injectors to say the least.
Injectors tested:

I wasn't able to take clear pictures of the holes in the injector nozzle plate. So this description will have to do.
FBJC100 - 4 hole
FBJC101 - 18 hole
Green Denso - 12 hole
Blue Denso - 12 hole
Results
FBJC100 left, Green Denso right
FBJC100 left, FBJC100 middle, Green Denso right
Blue Denso
I also recorded videos of pulse testing as well.
Static Flow Test Results at 3 bar:
FBJC100 - 306 cc/min
FBJC101 - 294.25 cc/min
Green Denso - 309.25 cc/min
Blue Denso - 546 cc/min
To sum it up, the Green Densos in the newer VQ35HR and HR styled 09+ VQ35DE have the same flow rate. At that, they only flow a tiny bit more fuel than the FBJC100, but have better atomization. The Green Denso injectors are also lighter in weight than the FBJC100 at 0.070lb each for the Green Denso, and 0.098lb each for the FBJC100.
Thanks to Darren and Trevor for supplying a set of FBJC101, two sets of Green Denso, and one set of Blue Denso to test.

- 21 FBJC100 [VQ30DE-K] 5th Gen Maxima
- 7 FBJC101 [1st Gen FWD VQ35DE] 5.5 Gen Maxima
- 12 Green Denso [2nd Gen FWD VQ35DE] 7th Gen Maxima
- 6 Green Denso [VQ35HR] 350z
- 6 Blue Denso [VR38DETT] GT-R
Test Procedure:
- Each Injector was run on a 10 minute automatic cleaning cycle before testing
- A test run was then done to set fuel pressure at 3 bar while the injector is spraying
- Each injector was tested three times and its results averaged
- Each injector test was run for 20 seconds with the exception of the Blue Densos, which were run for 10 seconds

I heard somewhere that the GTR uses Low impedance injectors vs the standard issue high impedance so we actually cant use them, i dont know how true that is but if not i will be looking to buy a set of its injectors.

I also performed a resistance test on all of the injectors. This set of 2010 GTR injectors all measured between 13.0 and 13.5 ohms, which indicates that they are high impedance injectors.

Thanks for this!! I've been maxing out the GTR injectors in my G35 and thought it was fuel supply.
Lots of people claiming those were 570-575cc injectors for a very long time, happy to see the truth here, not that 20cc difference is way off, but still, nice to know the actual number.
Time to slap some 800cc in this bish and sell thse GTR injectors

has to be more than that to max that size of injectors on a 6cyl.
If that is the case you might wanna datalog your fuel pressure with boost and etc to see whats going on if you havent already because those 550s are supporting upwards of 500whp w/11ish AFRs on GTRs.

This is great info, +1 to you for doing the testing. I have a set of older 3.5 injectors, de z purples and the green hrs. Will be using the green hrs for the na setup and looking for gtr injectors for boost.

I guess I should go ahead and bump this thread, just in case anyone digs it up while searching.
I recently acquired a set of VHR injectors as shown below. Information seems to indicate that they flow approximately 385cc at 51psi, which translates to ~355cc at 43.5psi(3 bar.)
In my testing these work extremely well in the bolt on DE, and have just enough fuel to handle the typical NA modified VQ. Duty cycle for a bolt on car peaks right around 70%, so that should keep them in a good safe range for just about any VQ or HR that is naturally aspirated(this car makes about 260whp in a mustang dyno.)
EDIT: I failed to mention it, but they're obviously plug and play for the Vq35(besides tuning of course).
Next to a GTR injector.
Same 12 hole spray pattern, albeit with smaller holes(less flow.)

This may have been where you got the ORANGE Denso VQ37VHR OEM injector flow data from which was me.
I purchased them used from Z1 Motorsports and sent them to Fuel Injector clinic to have them cleaned and flow tested.
I installed these in my 2008 Nissan Titan (VK56DE) which had factory grey flex fuel injectors.
These were a direct swap into my titan as are all of the shown injectors above, albeit with tuning needed for the GTR injectors. I plan on using those later down the road for my NA engine build.
If anyone is curious to see, these are the results from Fuel Injector Clinic of the Orange Denso VQ37VHR injectors. Tested before and after at 43.5psi and then After at 51psi which is the titan operating fuel pressure.
Below is a factory Nissan Titan Flex Fuel injector (grey). Supposedly these flow around the following, however this is from another individual and not my own personal results with these injectors.
VK56DE FLEX FUEL "GREY"
320cc/min (30.5lb/hr) @ 43.5 psi
346cc/min (33lb/hr) @ 51 psi
I installed the Orange denso on my titan without tuning, one of the biggest and notable differences I encountered was how fast the truck fired off upon start up and runs smoother overall. I still have to get the truck tuned.

But even after testing/cleaning the injectors they could still go bad/(back to the way they were) shortly after installation.
Also while testing the heat is missing. The injectors go through the heat transfer.
