Originally posted by MIXXMAX It all depends what kind of wiring you're using it for. Is it for a stereo system? If so, run the battery power on the same side of battery (driver's side) and run the signal cables/wires on the opposite side (passenger's side). To do this, just lift up on the door sills (step panels) from each door. Here, you can see where all the factory wiring is running. Just follow the track and run the wire(s) along with the factory wiring. I found it easier also to remove the "bottom" part of the rear seat to feed the wire through the trunk. Good luck!:) |
There should already be a spot/opening above the driver's kick panel. It's almost like a "blank spot" where this should be a hole. Drill here and make sure you install a rubber grommet around the inside of the whole so that the wire doesn't rip/rub/or tear along the sharp edges. Also, make sure both sides are clear from drilling into anything.

well i have a 4th gen and if you look at my member page on sounddomain you can see where i found an exisiting hole that fit 4awg power wire.... had to take out a rubber piece, but that took .5 seconds
if you want to drill a smaller hole underneath the driver's dash there is a piece of rubber, you can see that there is a diamond print around it, ill try to get pics if u dont see what im saying. well anyway, if you take that piece off then you have one piece of metal access to the engine bay, thats where my 8awg wire runs |
