how to fit 6x9's in 97 gxe?
 

Ihave a 97 gxe with the 6 3/4 in the rear deck and I would like to know what is needed to fit a pair of 6x9s in there? how would they sound? and yes I like rear fill

you can get a bracket to fit the 6x9's off of crutchfield, but i suggest shopping around first. you can get a standard set of 61/2-7" coaxials in the rear without a bracket also.

buy some right and left angked tin snips from Sears and cut away! My 6x9 convertion took me about and hour. Including shaving the rear window vents and installing about 3layers of Dynamat on the rear deck up top/underneath and re-carpeting too.

And i was very please with the results!!

What wiring is between that third brake light and the edge of the rear seats? Can you cut there safely?

take out your entire back seat and remove the rear deck lid. Its the only way you'll know.
