Amp won't work... few ??'s

I have a Sony Explode and the lights for 'Offset' and 'Overcurrent' are lit up. The amp has power going to it, but the amp isn't powering the subs. Any ideas on what it could be? and if it is fixable?

how do you have it set up? what are you running for speakers?

12" Kicker VR comps, hooked up to the Sony Explode 760 watt amp. Its running off of the stock bose system. I don't know much about car audio, so if I'm leaving anything out, let me know.

well, if the "overcurrent" light is lit there is probably too much of a load on the amp. I take it you have two 12s. are they hooked up mono or stereo? ALso, are they rated for 4ohms or 2ohms? depending how you have it hooked up, you may have had too low of an impedence load hooked up to the amp. That could cause the amp to do that. Try disconnecting the speaker wires from the amp and se if he "overcurrent" light clears. It is possible the amp or speakers could be blown, but they may not be.

erty67 has a point, but you also forgot to mention how you have it hooked up to the Bose. ALso what were the circumstances that caused it to stop working? basically what happened when it happened? Check your speaker connections/terminals..get back to us

I'll do a little snooping around and see what i come up with. I don't much about car audio, so i'll try and figure out how its hooked up to the bose.
