Help! keyless entry remote control does't work
 

I ruined my only remote control by dropping it in water. it's a Maxima SE 1996, automatic. this is the only remote control i have. what can i do now? can not image driving without it. just too inconvenient. so sad about it.

just bring it to a dealer and get another one reprogrammed, it will costs you around $100 for parts and labors.

or go to ebay and search for a key and reprogram it yourself, I don't know how to do that but you could always try and let us know how it went

Where are you located? You can always just do an aftermarket keyless entry which would also provide you with 2 new remotes.
