XM question: FM mod or cassette adapter in Maxima?

I have a Delphi Skyfi I am going to install in my 2K1 Maxima. I have visited some XM forums and have seen pros and cons for each in other vehicles.

What I am looking for is good sound quality through the stock Clarion system. Obviously, the FM mod would look cleaner in terms of installation, but I will sacrifice that for quality if need be.

Any info on other installation ideas would be great as well. Thanks

I think a FM Mod would give better quality than a cassette. But in the long run it's all about the connection to the satellite via antenna

I'm using the FM mod with my Sirius satellite radio.

The sound is pretty darn good, but it could be better.

Definitely go with FM mod.

Are you guys kidding? the cassette adapter gives much better quality than the fm modulator In addition, depending on your area, the frequency you modulate the signal to may conflict with a strong radio station in the area. I am using the cassette adapter 'til I get the bose aux adapter built. My 2 cents.

The cassette adapter is messy. Also, you can adjust the frequency of the FM mod to avoid interference with local terrestrial broadcasts.
