185 db would pretty much blow up your head. Like someone said, I think the current record is around 176-178 somewhere in there. 180 or 190 is a sonic boom, so yes, I suppose 185 is pretty loud.

Did a search and came up with http://www.lhh.org/noise/decibel.htm --It says 180 db is a rocket launch. To get a db increase of 3 it's generally accepted that you have to double your power output so to get louder and louder it gets exponentially harder.

i was in a car last nite with 4 jl 12's, prolly hittin 150 and that was waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy to loud even at modest volumes. couldnt breathe

185 db can kill you.

Scientifically 185 decibels has enough force to collapse your lungs or create an embolism that travels to your heart.
