that I could bum a screw for a speaker terminal? I pulled my Kenwood amp (I want to sell it) and put in an old amp, but it was missing a screw for a speaker terminal. Right now, I'm using a screw from the Kenwoood, but when I sell the amp, I'll have to put the screw back.

So, to make a long story short, anybody got one?

I've gotta be honest with you, so don't take this in offense. But, don't you think it'd be easier to just go down to either a hardware store or a stereo shop, and possibly try to mate one that you have left with one that they may have?? Because, truth be told, I certainly DO have a couple of screws from an amp I've got sitting around, but it would be asinine to try to ship them ANYWHERE!

Yes and no. I tried a couple of stereo shops and they say that they don't have any "spare parts" yet they say that if I give them $5 they'll take one off the display model. WTF? That's shady, if you ask me. One place had the nerve to try and sell me a new amp!

I went to Home Depot to see if they have anything that would match. I haven't found anything that would work. They're either too fat (but the right length) or too long (but the right width).

Radio Shack was no luck either. So, to answer your question, yes, it is asinine, but I'm running out of options. It's not like I didn't try.

Get one that's the right width and thread, but too long. Get the proper-sized nut to go with it and thread it all the way on. Hacksaw off the extra length, file the end smooth, then unscrew the nut to fix any remaining thread damage.
