Question on Speakers (what else would I ask about)
Ok so the DB Drive with the weird box attached are now history, what would be a good medium to high quality speaker. I'm looking to replace the 6.5s in front and place 6x9s in the rear deck. Now I personally woul like to keep the speaker the same brand, just preference I guess. But I need to have some custom work done obviously since the 6x9s need to fit. I also plan to use the Dynamat speakers kits. Will those help? I also plan to hook up a 4 way, to the speakers later down the road. PLEASE HELP

well dynamat will help the midbass alot and will lower road noise. why are you putting 6x9's in? if you want bass put a sub in there and i guarantee you will like that better. for the 6.5's do you want a component set or coaxials?

anything JL will sound great. i recommend the VR series. CDTs are awesome too.

OK this will show that I don't know sh!t about speakers other than sizes and wattage....whats the difference between coaxials and components. All I know is I wanted a 3-way 6x9s in the rear deck and hopefulle 3-way 6.5s if it is possible.... I really don't want a sub in the trunk, just preference, I guess....so JL is probably the way to go even for the 6x9s?...I like a good amount of bass but also listen to a variety of music N.E.R.D., Dave Matthews, Lil Jon, to name a few to show that the sounds can vary greatly. Thanks for any info provided guys! -Ryan |
id get some 2 way components which have the mid and tweet separate and if you want 6x9 get some 2 ways for the back. i dont think jl makes 6x9 but do not quote me on that.

If JL doesn't make 6x9s who would be good to go with? What is better 2-way or 3-way? HELP |
Components are woofers and tweeters separate but both come in one package. Coaxials have the tweeter built on top of the woofer making it a one shot deal.
