Bose HU LED's
 

Has anyone tried changing the LEDs that illuminate the Bose HU; I have a '97 but I'm sure the adjacent models are similar in construction. If anyone has tried either changing the colors or replacing dead bulbs and could let me know how difficult this is with some soldering experience I'd appreciate it.

Replacing the tiny light bulbs with resistors and LED's turns out to not be much fun :)
The problem is, that there is a very small amount of space, plus the usual issue of the light not spreading well (sanding LED's doesn't do much to help)

It is possible, and I'm about half way done...but I don't really like working on it, lol
