Kenwood DDX7015 Double Din DVD Player
HEY HEY,
Has anyone installed the Kenwood DDX7015 Double din touch screen DVD player in their 5th gen Maxima? I checked on Crutchfield and the website says it doesn't fit, but I got all its dimensions and matched them up against the factory deck, and it'd definitely fit with room all around.
Just wondering if anyone can post pictures / recommend any special dash kits for me. It looks like it's a sweet deck, and it plays DVDs and MP3s...
Thoughts?

Ok so now I'm a bit confused!
I went and did some shopping online - do I need BOTH the bezel (which runs for $80+, listed as "center vent assembly on most nissan parts wholesale website for 2000 GLE, not GXE") AND the brackets????
This "Vent assembly" runs around $80, as max5spd correctly informed me, and the mount brackets runs around $16, as max5spd, again, correctly informed.
So do I need to purchase both? If I do, my installer should have no problem installing the DVD player?

You only need the brackets if you can't get them off your old stereo which was the case for me. I ended up stripping the screws so rather than throw the old stereo against the wall in sheer frustration, I purchased the brackets.
If you can get the screws off, you're good for $16, otherwise, save yourself the headache and get the brackets.
As for the vent assembly, you need this --> http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...de=68750-VENTC

EXcellent! THANK YOU THANK YOU! I think I'll research a bit more into the deck itself now.
Hey by the way, did you (or anyone else following this) buy one of those steering wheel adapters from Crutchfield to get your steering wheel controls to work with your aftermarket deck?
Let me know your feedback on those.
Thanks again Max5spd, u've been a great help!
